Spotlight On The Troubles- The Scottish Soldiers
A former member of the Parachute Regiment was centrally involved in the killings of three off-duty soldiers almost 50 years ago, a BBC Spotlight investigation has established.
The Scottish soldiers were John McCaig, 17; his brother, Joseph, 18, and Dougald McCaughey, 23.
They were found shot dead in Ligoniel, north Belfast, on 10 March 1971.

In the version known as "Seven Nights Drunk", each night is a verse, followed by a chorus, in which the narrator comes home in a drunken state to find evidence of another man having been with his wife, which she explains away, not entirely convincingly. The British empire took a step back to the rising US empire approximately 100 years ago, both used the old Roman empire’s tactic (Divide and Conquer) or better (Divide and Control). IMO different Religions support this (Divide and Control) tactic. The CIA and MI6 staged the Coup in Ukraine in 2013/2014 that overthrew the elected government and installed Zelinsky, so that the Ukrainian Azov Nazi Battalion would take a run at Russia and Israel was established through the (1917 Balfour Declaration) that was influenced by Zionist Baron Rothschild, so that the merged US/UK empire could establish a foothold in the Middle East and (Divide and Control) the Middle East. Is it just a coincidence that the Sax-Coburg Gotha family moved from Germany to England in 1917 and assumed the name Windsor, the (Balfour Declaration) was inked in 1917 by the Central Banking family member baron Rothschild, there’s an Azov Nazi Battalion in Ukraine and the Palestinian people have been fighting for their land since 1917 and since 2006 they have been exiting within the (World’s largest Concentration Camp) ?

That evil old priest is disgusting, he sourced parts for IRA bombs, the republic of ireland would not extradite him to NI to face justice and the catholic church did nothing to him for his murderous actions (including the hyde park bombing) He wasnt the only priest involved in terrorisn, eg Father James Chesney who was protected by the church, mived to just across the border, allowed to continue his bomb making, because he was raising a fortune for them organising bingo, ,he even drove about in a porche and never faced justice.

The IRA claim that they were protecting the minority people is proven BS when you realise that the republican paramilitaries killed 2/3 of the catholic civillians killed, ie the IRA etc. murdered more catholics than everyone else put together, while claiming to be protecting them. Their only protection was protection rackets where they extorted catholic people in their own communities. Do not believe the propoganda and historical revisionism the republicans are so keen on today, this is to hide their absolute bloodthirstyness which made a lot of the terrorists rich.

To cal the tragic killing "murder" doesn't do justice to all involved. British soldiers likely killed over 150 unarmed non-combatants during the troubles. How many of those soldiers were prosecuted? These soldiers were part of a military force and were killed during a conflict. Tragic, yes. Murder, I don't think so.

Soldiers, on or off duty, are always legitimate targets. It's not as if they were civilians, like those gunned down by the British Army in Derry and Ballymurphy and elsewhere. The Brits would have had no qualms killing off duty German soldiers during WW2, nor off duty IRA volunteers.

I understand that this was all 40 years ago. What I do not understand is how the reality of the situation was not as obvious to the Loyalists then as it is now. They had two choices, and ONLY two choices: 1) Keep the British there and opn their side or 2) Accept that their new Capital was Dublin. It does not matter which side you were (are) on, those were their ONLY two choices. If they thought for one second that they were going to fight the Republic of Ireland, without the British doing most of the work for them, they were delusional.

Peace does not come before peace is accepted totally. So the war continues during peace talks. Peace talks are NOT peace. Too many Power hungry narcissists in the IRA top circle. Power in the government over what they were supposed to stand for. Britain still owns part of Ireland. There is still no one island, one nation! They failed, they threw the game, to stay on top insulting the decades of fighting and dying for a Free Ireland. But they saved lives by stopping the war. Polarizing as hell. Great documentary series. Enjoyed the hell out of it.

What was acknowledged in John D. Ruddy's video about The Troubles is that the majority of those killed between 1969 and 1998 were noncombatants. It's not like the ones targeted were only IRA on one side, various organisations related to the British state on the other, most unfortunately simply found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's possible that the only way that a truly impartial court would be one set up by the United Nations, especially in terms of dealing with the unresolved issues regarding Bloody Sunday for example, 30th January 1972, where the British Army opened fire upon unarmed protesters and covered up what they knew, or the Omagh Bombing, the single biggest terrorist attack in Northern Ireland

It will be the economics that will decide whether or not Ireland becomes one and united, inspite of the ira, not because of them. The consequences of Brexit will have far more impact than the gangsters of either side who care not for either population - but only for their own interests. Can any reasonable person consider any of these types of individuals fit to govern a free civil society.

The IRA, the people of violence, lost both the battle and the war. What was it all for? A united Ireland without any British involvement? To think that they, IRA, Real IRA, Continuity IRA, Provisional IRA, wanted to bomb, kill and maim their way to a united Ireland failed pre and post Good Friday Agreement, so what was it all for? Even today, the Unionists are no longer the majority party in Stormont, but Sinn Finn. Sinn Fein have the numbers, but will it lead to a united Ireland should it be put to a vote? Only time will tell.

Remember his contempt of Mrs Thatcher re the Anglo Irish agreement . I grew up in the UK lived there and survived eight plus attacks by the IRA. I do suppose it is possible it may have been more difficult for soldiers from areas such as Glasgow Liverpool to serve in NI due to their ante credence and other historical reasons, it is perhaps certain that many soldiers serving in the province would hold bigoted outlooks it would be the duty of their superiors to assert discipline in that regard. I'm sure the deaths of these Scottish soldiers were suitably revenged,God Willing.
